Michael Jackson’s THIS IS IT takes Jackson fans and music lovers on a worldwide a behind-the-scenes, rare look at the performer as he developed and rehearsed, for his sold-out concerts that would have begun this summer in London’s O2 Arena.
THIS IS IT will be available worldwide for a limited two-week engagement beginning, Wednesday October 28. Tickets for all shows, including the Tuesday night special advance screenings, are available for purchase beginning this coming Sunday, September 27. Moviegoers can purchase tickets by visiting all major motion picture ticketing websites as well as thisisit-movie.com.
The movie’s world gala will be in here in Los Angeles, at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE, Tuesday, October 27.
The event begins at 6pm PDT, kicking off a series of over 25 world-premieres around the globe. Over 15 cities, including London, Berlin, Seoul, Rio De Janeiro, Johannesburg, and New York will host red carpet events simultaneously, and include reports from the Los Angeles event via satellite broadcast by satellite to those cities.
Three hours after the worldwide celebration of the motion picture, the first public screenings begin. The first audiences in Los Angeles will see the film at 9pm; in New York, audiences will see the film at midnight; and in London, the advance screenings at 4am UK time.
Tickets:
- Only 3,000 for the special advance screening tickets are available; numbered wristbands will be issued
- Limit of 2 tickets per person
- The first 500 fans to line-up and purchase two tickets will receive an authentic, one-of-a-kind THIS IS IT lenticular concert ticket from the London concerts which were inspired and designed by Michael Jackson. (Limit one commemorative ticket for every two movie tickets purchased.)
- Line-up begins Thursday, September 24th at 5:00 PM on Nokia Plaza L.A. LIVE; fans must remain in line until on-sale begins
- No internet sales will be available for the special advance screenings; later shows will be available for purchase online
- Special Advanced Screenings on October 27th mark the Grand Opening of Regal Cinemas Stadium 14 at L.A. LIVE

Humphrey may have topped his roles, Corman may be honored for his upcoming honorary win, but it’s Lauren BACALL that reigns supreme. And she’ll be taking OSCAR. The screen diva will receive an honorary award for her more than three decades of work. The Six. Stephen HUMPHREY and Moda Entertainment – Stephen H? Bogey and Bacall’s son.

The One time Nova and now Dark Horse of the industry, The Weinsteins keep coming back to produce and co-author more. Bob WEINSTEIN, of the The Wienstein Co . says, ‘I’m heading back to my franchise films.’
Weinstein plans to shoot sequels to: “Hellraisers,” “Short Circuit” and… “Scanners.” in 3D. “American Werewolf in London” inclusive.
‘These films are our strength and we are committed to doing them in style.’

Times Blog ]. Guess as to the direction the movie co.’s taking – toward what’s bankable. Proven franchise vs. original content… like H-Town never reinvents the invented. We Love It.
What you may not have heard: Six Squared. Scream IV to start production in April/May as, get this, the first – of a new trilogy and The Weinstien Company is in talks with franchise creator Wes CRAVEN to direct. Original alums, Neve CAMPBELL, David ARQUETTE and Courtney COX to star.
Spy Kids IV, Robert RODRIGUEZ writing, is scheduled for slate in 3D, partnering with The Weinstiens and the Big D [Disney] March 2010.

Jerry BRUCKHEIMER extends his reach landing “Hopscotch,” investigative drama to the Alphabet (ABC).
Chris LEVINSON is writing the pilot for Warner Bros. TV project, after pitch and will exec prod. with Bruckheimer TV’s Jonathan LITTMAN, and KristineAnne REED. The Six: Levinson’s credits, “Law and Order” and “Charmed”
Six Squared. “Law and Order,” has been picked up for it’s 20th. This places ‘L And O’ in a tie with “Gunsmoke” as the longest running TV program.
Bruckheimer TV’s latest, “The Forgotten,” tipped Tuesday on ABC.

Black Eyed Peas have a 25th straight week atop US singles chart.
“I Gotta Feeling” is now spent 13 weeks at number one, dominating the 12-week chart reign of predecessor “Boom Boom Pow”.
Jay-Z volleys two singles in the top five. “Run This Town,” collaboration with Rihanna and Kanye West, at number two, and “Empire State Of Mind,” his duet with Alicia Keys, hits up to five.
Lady GaGa’s “Paparazzi” catapults from 18 to seven and has become her fourth US top ten hit.
Leona Lewis debuts at 50 with “Happy.”
