“Put A Ring On It,” Beyoncé KNOWLES in Egypt?
On promoty for her world-wide, “I am …” tour, making stops to the far North America in Canada and East in China, ‘La Fierce’ is stretching her music-R&B-pop vibe globally – but will she be able to pull off a one-night performance in Egypt?
The Six: Egypt is well known for it’s views on what is seen as , “sexy” or “brazen” traditionally, and Islamic religious law, or Sharia, suggests a “conservative” stance regarding family and/or sexuality or social practice(s).
But Beyoncé‘s show is just a performance, right?

Member of Parliament and Islamic Egyptian Hamdi HASSAN, of the Muslim Brotherhood, didn’t think so. He verbally eschewed government for allowing a person to “… [appear] naked in her clips” commenting the action was a direct violation of Sharia law, and, he added the government was contriving to have persons “… indulge in sin and licentiousness to cover up the other crimes it is committing…”
Hamdi HASSAN explained allowing Beyoncé to sing, but refusing permission for a Islamic band to perform was purely a double-standard. And Colombian songstress Shakira was practically called a prosty for her ’07 Egyptian visit – by a cleric, Khaled-al-Gindi.
But what affect has all this “attention” placed on Knowles’ upcoming performy? Will she have to ‘dance’ to a new “Tune” while she’s in the Middle East?
The Six Squared: Not according to ticket sales. While Beyoncé may have to tone the “look” of the overall performance down, TV station Al Arabiya reported tickets for Knowles’ “I Am… “ tour have reached price ranges of $400.
Beyoncé‘s one-night performance in Egypt is set for November 6. 2009 at the Red Sea resort, Port Ghalib.

Daniel CRAIG, BOND

The Next James BOND is confirmed. Perhaps not the way the Broccolis or EON prods. would have spun the newsy, but it’s spilt.
Actor Daniel CRAIG, fresh off his stage performance from his Broadway play A Steady Rain, was fielded a Q from a person in an outside crowd, in the midst of signing autographs and posing for pics. Asked, when the latest BOND flick was to be due, Craig responded, “Uh, we start the end of the next year, so…”
The Six: The story is BOND 23, the latest ‘unnamed’ flick in the series’ franchise, is in pre-production. Michael G. WILSON, Producer, stated earlier in the year the wheels had kicked into motion, but the Mr. Craig‘s revelation places suggesty the span between BOND films could reach beyond a two year holding pattern.
The Other Six: We Are Movie Geeks reported 20th Century Fox was in line to acquire the marketing and distribution rights to the 007 series from MGM , rumor being the studio, and the current home of BOND, was in constraint. Film School Rejects linked an official source which confirmed the franchise is with MGM.
Craig‘s play, ‘Rain, has played to critical acclaim. Craig and Broadway co-star Hugh JACKMAN “cop piece” has set a record for highest weekly ticket sales of a non-musical play.
The play about two Chicago policeman has earned upwards of $1.2 million since September 20.

Hugh Jackman’s Next Year’s OSCARS’ Host – Not Likely

No 2010 OSCAR Intro?

Married to wife Deborra-Lee FURNESS for 13-plus summers, Hugh JACKMAN puts as much work into his personal life, if not more – than he does in his on screen and on-stage portrayals.
And he’s not re-doing his ’09 stint as host at the 2010 Academy awards.
Many are speculating ‘the why,’ he’s not reprising the hosting gig – quicksilverfunsugar knows, there’s more to the story than the detractors are spilling.
The Six: They’re envious. Jackman is smart, handsome, and, he can sing and dance. His successes include past Broadway performances and his recent play, A Steady Rain, a cop story with co-star Daniel CRAIG has sold as a repeated crowd-pleaser (see Daniel Craig, qfs los angeles – fast track, above).
So why is Jackman not doing a host-reprisal? Timing. Jackman ‘s said he does not want to do to Oscar stints back-to-back, but leave it to press – one item, was omitted: Hugh’s taking time off after ‘Rain’ in preparation for flick, “The Real Steel,” a DreamWorks drama, Dir. Shawn Levy, that will begin production in the Spring – coincidentally.
