Shrek Forever After : California’s Going “Green”
Universal City, CA the final chapter in the Shrek, franchise Shrek: Forever After lifts curtain to kid and gingerbread heart alike everywhere, and in true medieval flare, L.A. is welcoming arrivals, on the green carpet.
Fast Six Dreamworks has had its share of up and down, the latter, company push back with clutch theatrical misses including Sinbad, The Island, David GEFFEN airing woe, while Dreamworks Animation, has held steady with its Madagascar line-up (and Shrek) animation faire.
Flashback Six c. April 13, 2010. The Net, buzz hotbed of impending shock and upper west side drama, because “Shrek Guy” soft core parody spread was approved before schedy mag issue release.

What’s the big deal?
Motion Pictures have been parodying anything and everything from soft drink to showgirl since inception (think Busby Berkley). See only one of BERKLEY‘s showgirl showstoppers and it’s clear, ‘slap and tickle’ sells…
The Reel Six Highbrow organizations, warning of impending, transgender character cross-dressing and animals flirting with each other, regular stomp. Movies are art. And first purpose, to entertain. The entertaining may be in the form of drama, comedy or adventure, but the goal is always the same: when the curtain lifts, leave ‘em with their jaw dropped…
Flash Present, one month passed, what was precursor, now theatrical play. The new Shrek? Full of vim and vigor – better be, already threading medieval “schtick” to modern day core. And the vapor of shock when unveiled is merely, mild thrill. Nothing is new, everything is redone, but with a twist. Desensitization exposure by default.
Civilization today still stands, kids still know about the birds and the bees well before they’re told by sages, and though a little too much is sanguine, shouldn’t higher aspiration toward economic relief and world distress be focal to pointe?..
Take respite from movies and moviemaking medieval sconce already. They’re merely entertainment. Shocked? Make yours then or, perhaps, stay in, peruse the Net, read a book.
The Odds, Hollywood will end up adapting it into a theatrical anyway.
Shrek: Forever After comes to theatres in domestic release, May 21, 2010.
